Created in 2018, the 18-35 year old section of the Friends of the Mucem responds to the association’s desire to be multigenerational and to bring together young people from various backgrounds around the themes of Mediterranean societies and cultures. Quai 201 is part of the Young Friends project, as supported by the French Federation of Museum Friends Societies.

Our approach is to schedule activities at more accessible times for young workers while contributing to the local, national and international influence of the Mucem. We allow our members to benefit from good cultural plans. We offer them the possibility of setting up their own artistic projects, while taking advantage of all the advantages granted to Friends of the Mucem (free and unlimited access to exhibitions, exclusive visits with curators, historians and artists, conferences, excursions and thematic travels ) .

In 2019, we created a radio program “Mediterter” entirely produced by us and broadcast on Radio Grenouille. Its ambition: to diversify points of view on the challenges of Mediterranean cultures and societies through the prism of Marseille.
