The Friends of the Mucem support the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations, a major national museum located in Marseille. As a museum of society, it offers a unique perspective on European and Mediterranean civilizations, weaving together anthropology, history, archaeology, research, and collections that span both ancient and contemporary artistic productions.

The Young Friends section aims to bring together young adults, aged 18 to 35, who are members of the Association. It offers them, in conjunction with the Association’s governing bodies, the opportunity to imagine and organize specific activities, in addition to the regular Friends of the Mucem program, both within and outside the museum. These activities can be reserved for Young Friends or extended to other members, in an intergenerational approach.

The French Federation of Museum Friends Associations supports the creation of youth sections.
